After the Rain: Castel Sant Elia Panoramas 2021

I want my recent drawings to express the tension between precision and evocation of landscape. My earlier work in this media was grounded in a personal and universal representation of place, but in the series  “After the Rain: Castel San Elia” details wash away into liminal fields, a memory only to be reconjured as visual effects of brush, pencil, finger, steel wool, tape, and solvent.​
